Busy Bee

Life has been busy and I need to be better about updating this blog- since I am trying to use it to document Gus' development. The last month has been filled with weekend working, various adventures out with Gus and a week-long trip to Florence.
I work Saturdays and Sundays so I have missed being with my baby on the weekend, but for right now it's what I have to do. Saturdays he goes to daycare while mama and daddy work and Sundays he spends with Joel and Uncle Robert. They usually go out and do something fun with him. Last weekend they ventured out to Forest Grove to a farm that raises Buffalo and sells various buffalo related products. They also went to a couple of wineries and did some wine tasting and got a tour of Sake One, the only Oregon place that makes it's own sake (and it's goooooood, too.). Gus had a lot of fun. He loves having boy time with his daddy and uncle.
Near the end of February, I took a week off of work and headed down to Florence to spend some time away from the big city with August. It also allowed us to get some quality time in with family we don't see all that often. Gus loved his snuggle time with Oma and Great Grandma and cousins Baylie and Makahla and his Aunt Lori. He also went to coffee at 5 am with Opa, twice. Opa took him to the playground at Miller Park, too. He loved swinging and looking in the mirror on the play structure. He wasn't so sure about going down the slide though. Didn't seem too impressed. He also got to meet his cousins, Angela and Dylan for the very first time. We made it out to the beach on the one sunny day that appeared while in Florence and I snapped some super cute pictures on the sand! I LOVE my new camera Joel bought for me. I highly recommend it! It's the Canon Rebel T2i. We got a package deal at Costco and man does it take good pictures! So glad to have a high quality camera to capture memories of the baby and our family for years to come!
